Bronwyn stressed that Flickerfest has been held in the Pavilion for 20 years.  

There are very strict rules associated with Festivals such as this, for instance it can't be held in an outdoor environment that isn't contained the way the amphitheatre is, unlike say a commercial enterprise like Ben & Jerry's Outdoor Cinema.

Flickerfest brings a unique event to the Pavilion, one which is much loved by locals and visitors alike. It nurtures local talent and is also a good money earner for Waverley Council.

It won't work in this new configuration and definitely won't offer the same Bondi experience.

Flickerfest utilises the amphitheatre, the upstairs theatre, the bar, the balcony and some of the community spaces upstairs.
