Conveniently the design plan plan was snuck through by Council on 15th December 2015. Why do you think they did that? We’ve got an idea. The amalgamation agreed to by Waverley and Randwick Councils meant that any large scale plans had to go through BEFORE early 2016.

THE CONCEPT PLAN WILL (AMONG OTHER THINGS)

• Drastically reduce the ‘community’ floorspace of the Pavilion

• ignore the impact of weather and seasons

• Demolish the existing theatre renovated in 2008 and the music studios

• Get rid of the ‘iconic’ Bucket List, an all weather up-market facility which generates substantial income to Council

• Create wind tunnels at the Grand Entrance and the Balcony.

This petition will be presented at the Waverley Council meeting on 16 February 2016 requesting that the current time for public submissions on the Concept Plan for the Bondi Pavilion (28 February 2016)  be extended to 31 May 2016 SO WE CAN LODGE MORE INFORMED SUBMISSIONS!

Dear The Mayor and Councillors Waverley Council,

We request that the current time for public submissions on the Concept Plan for the Bondi Pavilion (28 February 2016) be extended to 31 May 2016. This is requested so we can become better informed about this $38million Concept Design thus enabling us to make more erudite submissions.
